Before joining Startup Genome Arnobio led entrepreneurship data efforts at the Kauffman Foundation where he created some of the most widely used entrepreneurship indicators in the US — the Kauffman Index for Growth and Main Street Entrepreneurship used by senators, governors, city leaders, Fortune 500 companies, and the White House. He also led on the Kauffman Foundation side a multi-million dollar public-private partnership with the US Census Bureau.
Arnobio’s research and analysis have been featured widely in national and global media, including the New York Times, the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and the BBC, among others. He is a frequent public speaker and has presented at South by Southwest, Facebook, the Federal Reserve Bank, and many others. Arnobio has advised, worked with, and presented to CEOs, founders, current and former government ministers, and top academics.
Arnobio was nominated as a Top 25 Innovators under 35 by Revista VEJA, the leading magazine in Brazil, for his work as a social entrepreneur. He is a cofounder of PESSOA Institute, a social venture teaching entrepreneurship to 3,000+ people in impoverished communities in South America.
